Being a young millennial woman trying to maintain personal responsibilities, balance work, and my fitness has been super difficult for me lately. But I've found ways to clear my mind from chaos and things around me etc. If found out that its nothing wrong with taking a break of social media and disconnecting from my phone to get in tune with myself.

DID YOU KNOW??!

Clearing your mind can help combat rumination and may lead to better sleep, more effective downtime after work, greater focus, and increased creativity. The practice may even be good for your relationships. So investing some time in mind-clearing strategies is well worth it. (Elizabeth Scott)

1. Read a good book:

Finding a great book nowadays is easier than ever because you can read, listen to your book on audible, and rent a book from your local library app called hoopla. Hoopla is a web and mobile library media streaming platform for audiobooks, comics, e-books, movies, music, and TV. Hoopla allows library patrons to download or stream media content.

2. Disconnect from technology for days:

I found that technology improves your mental health and allows you to take a break from things around you. Unknowingly, we spend so much time on technology to the point we are addicted to likes or heart or comments people make on a post. Putting your phone down so you can get to know you again without the phone.

3. Go for a run or hike:

Any form of exercise is therapeutic! It releases the built-up anger or tension you have with you. It regulates your numerous things in your body.

4. Write in your journal:

Journaling for me is a form of healing for me! I get to express my thoughts on paper and discuss my goals/dreams at the moment.

5. Pick up a new hobby:

Picking up a new hobby is so much fun! I always look at what to do fun this weekend each week in my area to track the events in my area. I know with the quarantine everything is super limit but you do some of your new hobbies virtually.
