What is Emotional Health?


Emotional health is an important part of overall health. Emotional wellness inspires self-care, relaxation, stress reduction, and the development of inner strength. It is important to be attentive to both positive and negative feelings and be able to understand how to handle these emotions. Emotional well-being encourages autonomy and proper decision-making skills.



What are some examples of unhealthy emotional health?

-Grief- Triggered by negative behavior




Unhealthy moods emotional health?

  1. Changes in mood.

  2. Erratic thinking.

  3. Chronic anxiety.

  4. An exaggerated sense of self-worth.

  5. Impulsive actions.


My weight gain over the last few years has taken a toll on my emotional health. I spend months feeling worthless due to toxic breakup that causes me to overeat or stress over things that I couldn't change.


To be honest, it took a good year to get my health back on track! I promised myself that I will stay healthy and not let stress consume my life anymore!


Emotionally healthy people do things that others do not:

  1. Set healthier boundaries.

  2. Successful long-term relationships require healthy boundaries.

  3. Learn to wait on it.

  4. Learn to enjoy your own company.

  5. Be flexible.

  6. Deal with life's discomforts as they arise.

  7. Give Love.

  8. Take care of your physical health.

  9. Be dependable.
